If when he goes "this is the magic water, you can have it if you can take it from me" we show genre-savvyness and go. well, unless someone of Bulma or Gero's level comes up with something, but magic farming is a bit beyond their field of expertise. AND a way to prove the existence of Ki and magic, because once people start to try and copy us, they'll most likely fail and don't understand why. This could SERIOUSLY become a source of income for the school. (and here's another butterfly of Goku one day growing Senzu Beans for a living instead of radishes ) If I had to guess, our best shot at growing them would be having ki-users farming them, and maybe create a technique to infuse them with Ki. Then again, the idea never really came up in canon, presumably because making the senzu too common would come with inherent problems for the story. I thought he cared more for controlling them.
